Marine Electrician

Schedule:
M – F, generally 8-hour shifts starting at 7 am
During busy seasons, shifts can extend beyond 8 hours

Characteristics of US Electric Company Culture
Responsibilities
Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
Install diverse types of cable tray systems
Troubleshoot motor and control systems
Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
Build designed custom control panels
Ability to use hand and power tools
Own set of tools required for the job
Understanding how to use a multi-meter
Qualifications favored but not required:
•Previous experience in electrical installation or other related fields such as mechanic
•Familiarity with electrical schematics and manuals
•Familiarity with electrical equipment
•Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Education:
High school minimum
College and Trade School preferred
License/Certification:
Certification and licenses are not needed

Normal workday starts in the company headquarters in Seattle at 0700
Overtime and Weekend work on short notice happens frequently, and all employees are expected to make their best efforts to be available when needed
Some of our busiest work-months are predictable and may include several weeks of long days with overtime and weekend work included (winter months, particularly)
There is a basic chain of command structure that all employees are expected to follow

Journeyman Electricians are expected to teach and train less-skilled Apprentice Electricians in the science and art of being a Marine Electrician

Salary + Bonus
$50,500 - $80,000 annual Salary, commensurate with your skill and experience
